About amanita muscaria and microdosing

Red fly agaric (lat. Amanita muscaria) is the most famous representative of the genus, and the most recognizable poisonous mushroom. In all countries, fly agaric was used to get rid of annoying insects, mainly flies. Pieces of fly agaric were poured with milk, covered with cloth so that the flies could sit comfortably and placed in a place where they congregated. The flies drank the poisoned milk and after a while fell immobilized.

Microdosing fly agarics is the use of dried mushrooms in a dosage not exceeding a few grams. The idea that this could be useful came from biohackers who are fond of experimenting with various psychoactive substances. According to them, small doses of fly agaric are not toxic at all, but they promote relaxation, improve sleep, improve mood and clear the mind.
